“The New World of Work" offers a lot of opportunities. but there also are some pitfalls to it. Since 2006 Doussac Training & Coaching offers a program in which parti-cipants can enhance the insight in their personal WLB. It provides a way to be more effec-ive in reach-ing goals in work and life.

The program is highly appreciated. Within Microsoft it has a "best practise" status in EMEA and has been adopted in several countries in Western Europe. Within one year opinion on WLB in Holland rose by 6 points, in Denmark by 12 and in Austria even by a staggering 23! The program is also run at several factulties of the University of Vienna.

WLB is a very personal matter. what is perfect for one is impossible for the next. that is why the program is tailormade and aimed at awareness and insight. There are 4 basic modules: Self Assessment Questionaire, Aware-ness Workshop, WLB Training and additional coaching.

Leadership in Heavy Weather!

 

The intuitive response for most people is to sit still when the going gets tough. people become careful and prefer not to move too much.  What once they would have seen as normal or challenging business risk is considered a "gamble" or "unwise" in difficult times. Because of this thinking entire departments and companies nearly come to a standstill.

Not because there is nothing to be done but because a lack of guts and self confidence. Recent research shows that a staggering 35% of toplevel executives "has very little confidence in their own capabilities". That confidence is even lower for managers that are not in the Board. We know how to sail on sunny days but how about heavy weather?

It is not simple. Budget cuts, loss of jobs, freeze of nearly everything, many companies stick to what they know and new developments are postponed or even cancelled. Experienced people leave and the demands on the workers that stay around are increased heavily. Fun also falls victim to the rising tension. What is to be done?
